Werewolf : The Apocalypse Earthblood Delayed

Werewolf : The Apocalypse – Earthblood has been announced to be delayed for PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X along with a new gameplay trailer. The game was announced today at the Nacon Connect Stream. The title is set for a February launch next year instead of this year.

The game will cast players as Cahal, a werewolf who is on a quest home to protect family and friends from the corporation Endron. It’ll be up to Cahal to take this corporation down by using werewolf abilities to defeat the enemies in the way.

The trailer, below, shows Cahal in human, wolf, and werewolf forms. It looks like gameplay will differ depending on Cahal’s form, and most combat sequences will likely take Cahal’s werewolf form to complete.
“With his former Caern in danger, (Protagonist) Cahal must return to a land he once called home in order to protect his family and friends, no matter the cost. With the evil corporation Endron besieging them from every side, only you can fight the corruption taking deep root within your home using the devastating power of the Werewolf to turn the tide.”

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood will allow the player to take three forms; human, wolf, and werewolf.

“Each form has its advantages: the wolf can sneak around undetected, Cahal as a human can interact with other people, and the half-wolf Crinos can unleash its inhuman Rage to tear enemies apart.”

Cahal is pitted against a mysterious cosmic force of decay called the Wyrm, “Made manifest in the corporation Endron, the servants of the Wyrm stand poised to feast on the corpse of nature herself. The Wyrm, a corrupting entity, is winning the war against Gaia, Mother Earth. Pentex, a multinational corporation that serves the Wyrm, is controlling the world through its subsidiaries.”

The game was originally set to release this year, but the release had to be pushed back considering development challenges during the pandemic.
