THQ Nordic Japan KK has officially been incorporated.
Vienna-based Austrian publisher THQ Nordic GmbH has established THQ Nordic Japan KK, its second international distribution arm after 2012 the creation of THQ Nordic Inc. in the United States. The newly formed entity is tasked with distribution, public relations, and marketing of Handy Games and THQ Nordic’s slate of games in the Japanese market.
Regarding the new distribution arm, Kelmens Kreuzer, Managing Director at THQ Nordic Gmbh said”
In our opinion, the only real way to truly embrace the Japanese market is to run it with a team of Japanese professionals, which was our approach for the new Japanese subsidiary. A warm, heartfelt welcome to the entire team based in Tokyo, Japan.”

Yuji Kato, Managing Director of the newly established Japanese subsidiary said, “At this point I would like to quote Persona 3: ‘Two in harmony surpasses one in perfection.’ Our team is prepared, honored, and absolutely ready to kickstart THQ Nordic’s operations in the Japanese market. We are honored that we were given this opportunity and cannot wait to bring THQ Nordic content to our Japanese audience.”
The Japanese team consists of key people that delivered more than 200 titles in 15 years to the Japanese market, ranging from feature phones to consoles: Yuji Kato, Managing Director and former programmer with 20 years of game industry experience, Junko Kato, manager and former programmer/editor, and Project Manager Hiroshi Ogawa, also a former programmer as well as network and exhibitions manager.
