The makers of Nier Automata have a mobile RPG called SINoAlice, which is going global July 1, 2020. Yoko Taro and Keiichi Okabe, the director and composer of Nier Automata, released SINoAlice in Japan in 2017, where it’s been popular with over four million downloads in Japan alone.
SINoAlice is a gothic Lolita horror-based mobile RPG that features distorted versions of traditional fairy tale characters such as Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, The Little Mermaid, and Alice. Players will also get to see the return of fan-favorite characters such as 2B and Zero.
Developers Square Enix and Pokelabo do the gothic Lolita chilling storyline very well. The game is an action-puzzle title where storybook characters battle monsters and solve puzzles to find and save the creators of their stories. Developers have also indicated that there will be more tie-ins to the Nier Universe with a specific reference to Nier: Replicant coming soon after the global release this summer.
The global release of SINoAlice provides gamers with some perks. The global version is in English, so no subtitles for those who hate them and developers stated that depending on social media reactions there might be special in-game rewards added. There will be a 100-day in-game countdown leading to the global release focusing on all new content for SINoAlice.
Square Enix and Pokelabo announced that pre-registration for SINoAlice was being handled by Nexon, but it’s now under Pokelabo’s supervision as of April 24, 2020. Nexon states Pokelabo will contact already pre-registered players regarding their registrations on April 23, 2020. Players can pre-register on here.
SINoAlice is supported by iOS and Android. The game will be available on Android 4.4 or higher with 2GB RAM and on iOS 9 or later and is playable on the iPhone 5S, the iPad Air, the iPad Mini 2, and newer.
