Shin Megami Tensei V Will Get Several Day One DLC’s

Shin Megami Tensei V, the latest in the mainline SMT series, is set to release on November 12th. In the build-up to this Atlus has outlined several pieces of DLC content that will launch alongside the game later this year. These DLC’s add mission content to the game, as well as make farming rare materials and demons easier.

Return of the True Demon will see the protagonist travel to the world of shadows and is geared toward allowing players to fight some of the strongest demons. If you manage to defeat these demons you will unlock their fusions and should you manage to defeat the demi-fiend you will collect their essence.

The A Goddess in Training will see the player approached by the goddess Artemis near the Tokyo Tower. She is looking for a worthy opponent and of course, you being the hero of a JRPG and all, that opponent is you. If you manage to defeat her you will gain her as an ally and unlock her fusion.

Similarly, The Rage of a Queen DLC sees the player tasked with checking on the banishment of Cleopatra following her banishment from the Bethel Egpyt branch. Again, upon completing your mission you will gain her as an ally, as well as her fusion.

The final major piece of day one content being added to the game is The Doctor’s Last Wish. It will see the protagonist tasked with tracking down a Bethel researcher and once again will reward the play with an ally and a fusion upon completion.

Apart from mission-driven DLC there will also be the Mitama Dance of Wealth and Mitama Dance of EXP DLC that will allow players to affect gameplay. The first of these will make earning Macca, the currency in the game, far easier while the second will do the same to experience earned. Another DLC, Mitama Dance of Miracles will increase the spawn rates of rare monsters that also have rare drops associated with them.

On top of these paid DLC’s, the game will also release a free DLC for Safety Difficulty. This will be an easier difficulty that can be selected should you find yourself having trouble with the game or you simply would prefer a more casual playthrough.

Shin Megami Tensei V will launch on November 12, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
