Resident Evil Requiem

Resident Evil’s Future Will Reportedly Be Discussed After Code: Veronica

According to Resident Evil leaker Dusk Golem on Twitter, following the release of Resident Resident Evil Requiem, Capcom is considering analytics for the Resident Evil series and reviewing feedback to determine the franchise’s future. Additionally, the leaker said that the reception to the rumored Resident Evil – Code: Veronica remake will also be taken into account.

“Capcom is a very data based company,” wrote Dusk Golem. “They definitely have a bunch of things being measured by RE9, like past RE games. And paying attention to reviews, general feedback, sure they’ll have a survey for RE9 pretty soon to give feedback. There’s a big meeting for the series that will happen in 2027, a bit after Code Veronica Remake has come out, where they’ll have meetings about all the data, feedback collected, etc, & decide how to move forward with Resident Evil based on RE:4, RE9 & Code Veronica Remake, how best to go forward.”

According to prominent leaker NateTheHate, in a Twitter post back in January thanking Reddit’s Gaming Leaks & Rumors for naming him the “Leaker of the Year” for 2025, he responded to a question regarding the rumored Resident Evil: Code Veronica remake. He claimed that the remake is deep in development and is targeting a “first half of 2027” release date.
