PUBG – Update 5.2 Coming Next Wednesday

PUBG will get its 5.2 update next Wednesday, bringing with it a number of new additions to the game.

Season 5 rolls on, and the vehicular hijinks continue with a new tool of destruction. In this update, PUBG players can get ahead of automotive assaults headed their way by deploying the new Spike Trap tool.

Vikendi will receive a number of improvements and changes in the 5.2 update, further developing the snowy island into a sniper’s playground. Many buildings have had the size of their windows reduced for more defensible sniper positions. Some other buildings as well as debris have been removed altogether, allowing for more sightlines in small cities, while walls, trees, and rocks have been cleaned up in high traffic areas to provide higher maneuverability in vehicles.

PC gamers who tend to lose their sense of direction and don’t want to stop at the local gas station for help can take advantage of the new way point system coming to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds in 5.2. By dropping multiple route points, players can plot a course all the way to whatever destination they please. This is sure to please players who dislike listening to the excuses of those with no situational awareness.

Finally, this update also sees the addition of a new way to test out experimental content with PUBG Labs. Labs will house experimental systems and game modes that will allow the community to delve further into the possibilities around Battle Royale.

All these updates and more will be available when Update 5.2 launches on PC live servers on Nov. 20 and console live servers on Nov. 26.
