Lost Ark North America Announcement

Several new MMO RPGs were announced at today’s Summer Game Fest, but few generated as much hype as Lost Ark. The buzzworthy game is free to play and is currently available in South Korea, Russia, and Japan. The original release dates back to December 2018. Amazon Games announced that the RPG will launch in North America and Europe as soon as this fall.

The trailer of the game features beautiful landscapes of ruins, fantasy elements, and purple portals showering the environment with demons and other fantasy creatures. The cinematic trailer teases a storyline with darker elements and hints of a societal collapse caused by the demons plaguing the world.

“With Lost Ark, Smilegate RPG has created an incredibly deep online experience that players will return to for years to come; it is our privilege to bring this action RPG to new audiences in North America and Europe for the first time,” said Christoph Hartmann, VP, Amazon Games.

According to Amazon Games, in Lost Ark, players explore the vast and diverse world of Arkesia on their quest to find the fabled Lost Ark and save the realm from a demonic threat. The game features 15 distinct hero classes that offer deep combat with unique combinations of adaptable skillsets utilizing the Tripod Skill system. Players forge their own legend, whether alone or with allies, as they battle through dangerous dungeons, sail by ship, and even create their own island home.

For players who want early access to Lost Ark, there is a closed technical alpha test on June 11th-16th. The first few players will be invited on June 11th. You can find the application for the alpha test here: Tester Sign-Up | Lost Ark – Free to Play MMO Action RPG

Currently, the game already has millions of active players. Amazon Games is making some exciting strides lately. We can’t wait to see what kind of following it amasses when it makes it to North America! Lost Ark will be available for all to play in Fall 2021.
