Lornsword Winter Chronicles

Lornsword Winter Chronicle Now Available On Console

Lornsword Winter Chronicle, a story-driven fantasy action-strategy game created by former Creative Assembly developers at independent studio Tower five, is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Combining real-time strategy gameplay with an engaging narrative and a direct, action-based control system designed for a gamepad, Lornsword Winter Chronicle features dynamic battlefields where engagements are hard fought affairs. Rival factions battle for power and control, trading blade and shot in epic battles sure to thrill gaming fans. Lornsword Winter Chronicle tells the story of an era where the cabalistic magic of dark priests and shadow weavers clashed with ammo from matchlock rifles and arrows fired by skilled archers in brutal ranged combat.

Players walk in the shoes of Corun, a Lornknight in command of a small fortified town called Tulza in the southern province of the Lorn Empire. Survival depends on the player’s leadership skills as they build bases, gather food and supplies, and utilize mines to harvest gold and fund their armies.

The game also features a drop-in local co-op mode, allowing players to bring in a friend to aid them in battle, meaning the hardships of combat need not be suffered alone. Gamers will also need to keep a keen eye on their resource caches, for feeding and equipping one’s armies and expanding bases results in an ever-more demanding economy. Exploration, combat, and resource management go hand in hand.

Lornsword Winter Chronicle is real-time strategy game built specifically for gamepad controls. Rarely do console players get an opportunity where this control mechanism is built into the fabric of the design from the outset in an RTS”, said Renaud Charpentier, Game Director at Tower Five. “The game provides players with a great combination of combat, resource management and base building with a narrative that will keep them enthralled for hours.”

Lornsword Winter Chronicle is available on PC via Steam (coming out of Steam Early Access), as well as the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms.
