Last of Us Part II is Confirmed for State of Play

Sony is releasing their next State of Play stream in just a few days on September 24. Speculation has been high on what might be making a showing this time around. Naughty Dog, developers of Last of Us Part II, seems to be making a statement.

This is what showed up today on their Twitter. This confirms what a lot of people have been suspecting, that Last of Us Part II will finally make an appearance.

Sony has only done two other State of Play streams since they decided to skip this years E3 event. So far they have done a good job of keeping hype about their product and properties alive. When they announced the State of Play for September 24, they had made the promise of new game reveals and updates. This would certainly fall into that category and will definitely be the reason a lot of people will be viewing.

The Last of Us Part II is the highly anticipated continuation of the 2013 title, The Last of Us. The Last of Us is action/adventure, survival horror game that was able to capture the hearts and minds of gamers all around the world. It did this with beautiful story telling that told the story of a man named Joel and girl named Ellie traveling across the United States after an apocalyptic event has ravaged humanity. The haunting imagery and score, along with the performances of the main cast, created an instant classic that will be celebrated for a long time to come.

The Last of Us Part II was announced in 2016 and has seen two trailers since. Both showcased new characters, potential new locations, and a true continuation of the original.

So there you have it. We will all be waiting with baited breath to see what will be shown in four days.
