Microsoft has announced that prices for Xbox Game Pass and PC Game pass have increased effective July 10 for new members and September 12 for existing subscribers. It also announced the new Xbox Game Pass Standard tier, which will replace Xbox Game Pass Console and will no longer include access to day one Game Pass games. However, these games “may be added to the library at a future date.” These changes will also take effect for 1-month, 3-month, and 6-month subscriptions to Game Pass Core in Türkiye, South Africa, and Argentina, as well as 6-month subscriptions to Game Pass Core in India.

If you are currently subscribed to Xbox Game Pass for Console and have automatic payment renewal enabled, you will be able to continue to enjoy your membership. If at any time you turn off your automatic payment renewal and your membership lapses, you will no longer have access to Game Pass for Console and will need to join one of the other plans.
Microsoft is slowly starting to kill themselves. Not surprised though, with the addition of Activision Blizzard titles and CoD itself, it only makes sense for them to up the price because the value is starting to increase. What's crazy is that no longer you get Day 1 titles if you are subscribed to the Game Pass Standard.
Yeah it's gonna be a pass for me at this point. The service has been decent but it's not worth $26 (Canadian with tax) but I cancelled my suscription a little while ago for now. Will probably sub when big games come out though but It's funny even with game pass I buy more games then play on game pass lol.
Oh well. Never believe in the so called “never changing prices”. But I eventually would need to get myself a gamepass again, as I wanted finally to play through Gears of War 1-5.
