Elden Ring

Elden Ring To Get 15 Minute gameplay Showcase

With Elden Ring set to release in February, only 4 months away, it makes sense that it is finally time to showcase some extended gameplay to the public. Fromsoftware has announced that tomorrow, November 4, they will be showcasing 15 minutes worth of gameplay at 7 a.m. PDT/10 a.m. EST.

While it is not specified if there are specific parts of the game that will be showcased, a portion of gameplay was previously shown to the media during the all-digital Gamescom 2021 event. The most likely thing we will see is exploration, as Elden Ring‘s biggest departure from previous souls games is its farm more open-world.

This showcase also comes before a closed network test is set to begin on the game. Announced when the game was delayed from January to February, this closed network test is set to be held starting on November 12th and the 14th and will be the first chance some lucky players will have to get hands-on with the upcoming title.

Elden Ring was first announced during E3 2019, before going radio silent for several years. During this time there were several leaks and rumors about the game, but ultimately it would not be until E3 2021 that the game would emerge and audiences hotly anticipating the game would get a look at gameplay.

Like most other souls games, Elden Ring is being directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. However, also benefitted from the help of George R. R. Martin who was contacted in hopes of getting his contribution. While he did not work specifically on the story, or as a director, he contributed much of the game’s lore building.

Elden Ring received a minor delay of a month and is not set to come galloping on February 25 to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
