Dragon Quest XI S Demo Now Available on Nintendo eShop

Square Enix and Nintendo have officially released the demo for the upcoming Switch release of Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age. The upcoming JRPG release for the Switch – which released for the PS4 and PC in the west last year – is the definitive edition which features plenty of additional content exclusive to the Switch.

The Definitive Edition will include add-on character stories, Japanese/English voice over options, as well as HD and retro stylized visual options which were initially available on the 3DS Japanese region-specific version of the game.along with those additional add-ons, players will also be able to experience previous worlds from the Dragon Quest series from entries 1-10.

Players interested in picking up the Definitive Edition can also download the Champions Pack DLC which includes bonus attire and items to prepare you for the adventure. Nintendo made the announcement of the additional bonus items alongside the demo availability announcement which is sure to entice players to continue their journey well-passed the demo.

Nintendo has also released several trailers for the upcoming game, including a look at the world of Erdrea along with some exciting details regarding what to expect form some of the additional side stories that follows the protagonist’s companions following a story-changing event about half way through the narrative. Players will get to experience taking control of characters such a Sylvando, the Thief Erik, the royal knight Sir Hendrik, the traveling entertainer Rab and the former Heliodor princess Jade.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition is set to release on the Switch on September 27, 2019 worldwide. The demo for the game is currently available on the Nintendo eShop for download.
