Digital Bros Group, the parent company of 505 Games has revealed that the PC port of Death Stranding has brought $27.6 million (€23 million) for the publisher 505 Games.
Digital Bros Group shared the news in the latest financial report for the six months period ended on December 31, 2020. The company affirms that Kojima Productions‘ Death Stranding was key in a 29.5 % rise in revenues.
Remedy’s Control has been another significant game for Steam. The game launched in August 2020 following an exclusive launch on the Epic Games Store and has earned $19.1 million (€16 million) in revenues. Other highly profitable games include Asseto Corsa ($10.7 million) and Ghostrunner ($8.18 million).
Digital Group is looking forward to the launch of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. The game has managed to fund over $4.5 million in its kickstarted campaign. The Suikoden spiritual successor is now the third-highest crowdfunded videogame in Kickstarter, a significant landmark for a JRPG.
“Eiyuden Chronicle is now the single most-backed project by Japanese people ever. For this project, I want to take the fans’ passion and put it in the game–that’s how I feel,” director Yoshitaka Murayama said in a press release. “I’ve seen people on social media saying this is the first Kickstarter they have ever backed and it makes me so happy to see that passion and support.”
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is an exciting project being developed at Rabbit & Bear Studios, the game is being directed by Yoshitaka Murayama, co-creator of the Suikoden franchise. Murayama is joined by Junko Kawano, and Osamu Komuta, key members of the classic JRPG.
Digital Bros also confirmed a launch of an unannounced AAA game in its fiscal year ending on June 30, 2023. The company is looking forward to increasing its lifetime revenues by $35.7 million across PC and console. Asseto Corsa 2 will launch in 2024.
