Today Capcom has updated the Resident Evil History Page with upscaled artwork, screenshots and descriptions of CODE: Veronica, Outbreak and Outbreak File 2, leading fans to speculate that a Resident Evil Outbreak remake could be in the works.
Disclaimer: This report is just a rumor, and therefore should be taken with a grain of salt.
The screenshots and artwork were posted on Twitter today, with not only upscaled cover artwork, but also more detailed models that appear to have updated textures, implying that more work has been done to them than just a simple upscale.

Of course, this could also be nothing, but a post over at ResetEra states that there could be something to this as Resident Evil Outbreak was included in the Nvidia leaks from last year:
With that said, sometimes Capcom has had weird things redone for no real reason (The anniversary stream with updated RE Classic assets that was ultimately nothing). However, Outbreak’s inclusion in the Nvidia leak adds some more weight here as a lot of that has been confirmed.
It wouldn’t be a stretch to see a PS2-era title remastered as it seems Capcom is much more comfortable going back to that gen and doing ports than anything prior (that can’t just be emulated like that Arcade Collections). As for why they would post these? Could be they didn’t think people would notice or it was an accident similar to when RE0 was revealed via a REmake PSN Theme preview. There are definitely numerous avenues where it wouldn’t be a surprise from Capcom.
Resident Evil Outbreak was originally released in 2003 on the Playstation 2 to mixed reviews, with lack of voice chat, short scenarios and lack of European server support being cited as some of the game’s major issues.
