Bandai Namco Gives Hints For DLC For Dragon Ball Z Kakarot

Bandai Namco has delivered unto gamers some early details about the new DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot! According to Bandai Namco, players will gain access to new characters, powers, and transformations from Dragon Ball Super in the new DLC, ‘A New Power Awakens Part 1.’

Once players download ‘A New Power Awakens Part 1,’ the content will be accessible at any point during the game. Gamers will train under Whis to gain the Super Saiyan God transformation and then get to go head-to-head with Beerus in a DLC exclusive Boss Battle. Beerus is the God of Destruction from Universe 7 and yes, he is a cat.

An added bonus of this new content is the powers gained from this DLC are playable throughout the game. This means that players can use the powers and transformations gained from their training with Whis in any battle throughout the game’s storyline.

This DLC comes out as part of the Season Pass in the spring of 2020. The Season Pass also grants players the ability to purchase the second DLC ‘A New Power Awakens Part 2.’ This second DLC is due to come out later this year and Bandai Namco is keeping details about it under wraps. Unfortunately, that means there is no information whether Beerus will be featured in the new DLC or if another villain from the Dragon Ball universe will be making their debut. On a positive note, a new collection of music for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be available to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Ultimate Edition owners in the near future.

Hopefully, more details such as an actual release date are on the way. Until then, check out the original trailer for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and enjoy the nostalgia of one of the most iconic anime franchises ever.
